The Studio
Kate DeWitt Design is a boutique interior design studio based in Sausalito, California, serving clients throughout Marin, San Francisco, and the Bay Area. We specialize in creating spaces that feel intentional, layered, and unmistakably personal — from full home renovations to thoughtful styling edits.
Every project is approached with the same level of care: deep listening, meticulous sourcing, and a commitment to getting the details right. Kate works alongside a talented design team to ensure every project receives the attention it deserves.
The Designer
My career began working alongside some of San Francisco's top interior designers, where I developed a deep appreciation for craft, quality, and the kind of attention to detail that makes a space truly exceptional. In 2022, I opened Kate DeWitt Design with a simple but unwavering belief: your home should feel unmistakably like you.
I'm drawn to spaces that are whimsical yet elegant, collected rather than decorated, and full of the things that make you genuinely happy to come home. When I'm not working with clients, you can find me in my seaside studio in Sausalito, sourcing something unexpected, or sharing the behind-the-scenes of studio life on Instagram.

“Working with Kate is a fun, creative collaboration. When I hired Kate, I'd moved into a very nice place that I wasn't really relating to. Now, thanks to Kate's placement suggestions and the things we worked together to buy, I open my door and feel happily at home. She brings a fresh, refined and insightful sense of taste and style - while being mindful of the client's budget. Best of all, she is a delight to be with so, what can be a stressful experience, is fun.”
